Go Icarus

In January 2013, Peruvian-American singer/songwriter Martin Silva created Go Icarus in order to release his first home made album "Stay or Rise”, which he recorded during his university years.

In the following two years, he was joined by Analucia Arenas (vocals), Juan Luis Barletti (keyboards), Diego Manrique (drums/percussion) and siblings Eduardo (violin), Gerardo (bass) and Helen (cello) Solís; together they played the album in their hometown Arequipa - Perú throughout 2013 - 2014.

In 2014 Go Icarus was nominated for “best new artist”, “best video”, “best song” and “best alternative rock artist" in Perú’s most important rock music awards “Generarock”, and won in the “best new artist” category. In the same year, Martin released the EP “Dancing Silhouettes”, a collection of four self-produced songs which was also well received by the country’s musical critics, some even calling it one of the best albums of the year.

In January of 2015, Martin moved to San Francisco to pursue a masters in holistic psychology, his other passion. In the meantime he is working on a new album which will be released in 2017.
